The truth is that the devil doesn’t make any one to fall. He suggests things that a person may choose to do or not.
When Jesus was tempted, the devil offered him situations that would make our Lord to fall, but he instead, choose not to do it.
We shall not give the devil a chance by closing the doorways that he may enter in our lives. There are many doors that we may live unattended and therefore, are ways for our sudden disgrace:
Divination: You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor shall you practice divination or soothsaying. Lev.19:26. Many people still have the practice of consulting horoscope, fortunetellers, cartomancy and so forth. The day of tomorrow belongs to God and He teaches us that we shall not be concerned about that. When a person has this habit of consulting these satanic tools, she/he opens a big door for the devil to destroy her life. The bible says that those who practice witchcraft will not have part in heaven.
Lie: A person lies because this person does not trust in God. Because he or she is afraid of the consequences of the truth, they forget that the truth will set them free. “But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie”. Rev.22:15. As you can see that there is no room in heaven for liars.
Internet: Internet is a good thing when you know how to use it. When your purpose is learning or searching for good things it is definitely a good tool in hand. Unfortunately we have seen entire families being destroyed by misusing this service. It has been a great doorway for infidelities, gossips, prostitution and marriage problems.
Doubts: Doubt is freezing water in any blessings. It’s impossible to please God without faith. The devil knows it and therefore he will be always suggesting thoughts of doubts. When we pray and a tiny doubt appears in our heart, God will be totally unable to answer this prayer.
We overcome doubts by reading the bible and repeating words of faith in our minds. If you fell like something is impossible for you, repeat to yourself: “Everything is possible to God”.
