You are not a failure

Do you think you are a failure? That nothing will work for you, and that life is a matter of lack that only few folks will have in life?

The Bible tells us the story of a woman who certainly would not expect anything from her life, and her name was Ruth.

According to the Bible, Ruth was a poor Moabite widow, who have decided to follow her mother-in-law in order to live in Bethlehem, a Jewish town where the Moabites were outcasts.

On that time, to be poor, widow and childless were a serious problem. Life wasn't any promising for Ruth. She was a poor foreigner trying a better life in another country; a country where she would be down looked and rejected.

Perhaps you are at your own country right now, but life doesn't look promising for you. Do you say, "I am poor"," I am not good looking", "I don't have cloths"," I have many children", "I don't have a good education"?

But Ruth replied, "Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Ruth 1:16 (NIV)

Ruth did not turn into self-pity and murmur about her miserable condition. As a Moabitess she didn't know God, but she decided that the God of Israel would be her God. Ruth wasn't looking at her visible situation; she was not concerned with the day of tomorrow or where she would stay. She decided to follow her mother-in-law and follow her God.

So Ruth, the Moabitess said to Naomi, "Please let me go to the field, and glean heads of grain after him in whose sight I may find favor." And she said to her, "Go, my daughter." Ruth 2:2 (NKJV)

In the natural, Ruth had everything against her. Despite of that, she was not down, thinking on how to end her own life. She was a poor foreigner, but she was decided to work even if it was to catch leftover of grains.

Besides, she had the faith that she would find favor. She believed that God would favor her and she confessed, "I will find favor in the field that I glean from." She was just a new believer and she already believed that God would favor her. And HE did!

She trusted God, she did not look to her situation, she decided to work and God blessed her so much because of that. She not only became the wife of Bethlehem's richest man when Boaz married her, she also became the great-grandmother of David and had her name included in the genealogy of our Lord Jesus Christ and she was not even a Jewess!

So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife; and when he went in to her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bore a son. Then the women said to Naomi, "Blessed be the LORD, who has not left you this day without a close relative; and may his name be famous in Israel!  Ruth 4:13-14(NKJV)

The God of Israel blessed a poor foreigner, and He wants to bless you as well; believe that you are favored by HIM, do not look at your circumstances, do not look for what you do not have; but look instead for what Jesus have.

Please read the full story of Ruth and you will see that her blessings did not meet her inside of her room, while she was crying and depressed! She was a strong woman and she met her blessings while she was working catching the leftover of grains. Staying inside of your house crying for what you do not have will not solve your situation. Faith and action will!

Trust in the favor of God and you will see miracles where your natural beliefs will never bring!

Be blessed today
